For all Muslims, performing Hajj to the holy city of Mecca is obligatory to all who can afford to go physically and financially. This season takes place every year in the month of Zulhijjah, and this year it begins in the ending week of November.
As a tradition in Brunei, the Sultan opens up the palace to greet all the pilgrims-to-be where all wait in line to meet up close and personal with the beloved monarch. This year is no exception, and all were given souvenirs in the form of travel luggage and handbags.
