Baby Lizam's birthday bash

24th May 2009

In the afternoon today, we had an enjoyable time celebrating cousin Lizam's first birthday at Swensen's located at the Mall. We didn't take any pictures unfortunately, because mummy and daddy's camera had to be sent for repairs (talk about wrong timing). Anyway, for sure there will be loads of pictures soon at Lizam's [blog]... The hired cameraman looked very busy taking pictures!

Anyway, to Lizam & family.. thank you for the great time, and thanks too for the lucky draw gift. Enjoy your holiday in Brisbane and Gold Coast soon!

Desserts that match your personality

18th May 2009

This was received in an email...

Like desserts? Say you were presented with 8 kinds of desserts and you can ONLY PICK ONE, which would you choose? Remember, be honest... hehehe...

Sweet, loving, cuddly. You love all warm and fuzzy items. A little nutty at times. Sometimes you need an ice cream cone at the end of the day. Others perceive you as being childlike and immature at times.

You re adventurous, love new ideas, and are a champion of underdogs and a slayer of dragons. When tempers flare up you whip out your sabre. You are always the oddball with a unique sense of humor and direction. You tend to be very loyal.

Smooth, sexy, & articulate with your hands, you are an excellent caregiver and a good teacher. But don't try to walk and chew gum at the same time. A bit of a diva at times, you set your own style because you do your own thing. You shine when it comes to helping others and have many friends.

Fun-loving, sassy, humorous, not very grounded in life; very indecisive and lacking motivation. Everyone enjoys being around you, but you are a practical joker. Others should be cautious inmaking you mad. However, you are a friend for life.

Romantic, warm, loving. You care about other people, can be counted on in a pinch and expect the same in return. Intuitively keen. You can be very emotional at times but a true person in every way. You like to do things for yourself and help others learn about themselves.

Sexy; always ready to give and receive. Very creative, adventurous, ambitious, and passionate. You can appear to have a cold exterior but are warm on the inside. Not afraid to take chances. Will not settle for anything average in life. Love to laugh.

You like sports, whether it be baseball, football, basketball, or soccer. If you could, you would like to participate, but you enjoy watching sports. You don't like to give up the remote control. You tend to be self-centered and high maintenance.

You are a very fun loving person, who likes to laugh. You are fun to be with. People like to hang out with you. You are a very warm hearted person and a little quirky at times. You have many loyal friends. You were meant to lead and teach others. A wonderful role model.

So, which one are you?

Syahmi's "baby shower"

10th May 2009 (Part II)

Coincidentally with Mother's Day, my aunt (Bungsu Diana) held a Mandi Belawat ceremony; a Brunei-style baby shower welcoming the birth of a first born child. Syahmi was a very good baby, he didn't cry throughout the ceremony despite the afternoon heat and many people around him. Today is also officially 3 month old birthday for Syahmi.

To Bungsu and family, congratulations!

I love you mummy!!

10th May 2009 (Part I)

To all mothers out there, and a special one going out to my beloved mummy...

Thank you for the hug when I'm sad, the meal when I'm hungry, the encouragement when I'm scared, the laughter when I make a joke, the tears when I'm sick, and best of all the smile when you love me... everyday!

And mummy, hope you like the surprise from daddy, myself and Safiya this morning.. The ice-cream cake was great, and you deserve it!

The Sharing Bag

6th May 2009

Today at school was my turn to bring something in "The Sharing Bag". Once in a while, every student in my class is encouraged to bring home the bag the day before, and put in anything that the student wants to share with the whole class, and bring it back to school the next morning for the reveal.

Last time, I brought my favourite Tiger. This time, daddy and mummy thought what's better than sharing my experience from our recent trip to Kuala Lumpur? As such, mummy and daddy helped me prepare a marvellous 'poster' filled with my favourite pictures.
And now, I want to share my poster with you!

P/S: To daddy and mummy, thanks for the help and encouragement!

House warming for Wawa

05 May 2009

Last Sunday afternoon, we attended Wawa's house warming gathering. Hehehe... finally after months of moving in. On the menu was kelupis with beef curry sauce, fried noodles, mung beans porridge (bubur kacang hijau) and heaps of traditional as well as modern kuih.

Especially for Wawa and family, enjoy these pictures... and congratulations for the new home!

Yummm... Time for hi-tea!

Mummy holding baby Syahmi with auntie Jijah (wawa's best friend) with her 2 month-old son, baby Afnan.

Cousins.. all 8 of us. Hehehe, it was not an easy task to have us all sit together and take nice pictures. As I remember it, ther are about 3 singers at least (my aunts!) in front of us attempting to get all of our attention!

JIS Athletics Day

01 May 2009

This morning, my school held an athletics day. I participated in three games (as part of a team). Mummy brought my sister, Safiya, and my uncle to give me moral support. It feels so great to have them around that my team did well in all three games! Although daddy couldn't join since he had to work, I know deep inside he is cheering for me. He was the happiest person to see my ribbons at the end of the day.
