Introducing... the 'kembayau' fruit!
It's purplish black in colour and quite tasteless, but with a little scraping, hot water and a touch of sugar, it's a really delicious delicacy. It can be eaten on its own, as a snack, a dessert or an appetiser. It is a seasonal fruit, and we're very lucky to be able to enjoy it before our trip back to Australia!

After a short moment being immersed in hot water, the fruit becomes tender. Mix with a little bit of sugar, and it's ready to eat.
