Hehehe... For those of you who have been following this blog.. you might ask, what? another birthday? Oh well, what can I say? It's a coincidence that there are lots of birthdays to celebrate during our one month holiday in Brunei. To recap, there was the birthday of nini bini, myself (ohh.. can't forget that), my uncle and aunt Machar, and also nini laki. Only four birthdays left to celebrate this year, Safiya's in October, mummy and daddy (both in November) and bungsu Hazim in December.
Anyway, we celebrated nini laki's birthday at one of the newly opened restaurants in Brunei. We enjoyed 'nasi kandar', which actually originates from Penang, Malaysia. I dozed off at first, and didn't get to see nini laki blow the candles on his cake. But I did get a taste of it!

I fell asleep in the car on the way to the restaurant... and continued to dream after we arrived.
We were all very happy!

It's a coincidence that nini laki shares his birthday with one of his gardeners from Indonesia who has been working with us for 6 years now. Nini laki was generous to share the cake with uncle Ahmad.
"Let's eat this cake", nini laki said.To nini laki, thank you for all that you have done for our family, especially that you sacrificed your job opportunity in order to take care of us in Brisbane. We love you very much! Happy Birthday!
