An afternoon around Bandar Seri Begawan

6th February 2010

We had quite a busy afternoon today. Just before noon, we attended my classmate's birthday party at Jungle Gym (thanks Adam for the invitation). Then, after sending mummy back to her office, daddy brought Safiya and I around Bandar Seri Begawan, the country's capital, in a hunt for a new flag for our home.

We actually have one already bought, but daddy wanted to buy another with a higher quality (sewn instead of printed). First, we went to the Brunei Arts and Handicrafts Center but unfortunately they do not sell the flag. Then, we tried our luck at the Lapau building and to our relief, the Adat Istiadat Negara Department had one in stock, which also happens to be their last piece. It was also good news that the price was lower than commercially sold elsewhere. Hehehe...

After all that hunting, we went home and had a good weekend night rest.

Since the building is located right in front of Brunei's famous water village or Kampong Ayer, we took the opportunity to snap a picture
