A short trip to Kuala Lumpur

27th April 2009 (Part I)

Heehee... if you were wondering why we were 'silent' this past week, it's because we have just arrived back in Brunei after a 6-days trip to Kuala Lumpur. It was a last minute planning, since it was only Saturday when mummy received confirmation that she and two of her colleagues were to be sent on a course there.

The initial plan was for mummy to go alone, but poor Safiya is very close to mummy and didn't want to be left behind. Fortunately, we were able to get air tickets for the Sunday flight, and ended up having a great trip! Hehehe... and of course, I skipped school for that week!

Anyway, we took lots of pictures (although mummy is not inside most of them since she was attending her course)... enjoy!

Whilst waiting for boarding time... Relaxing at the RBA Sky Lounge

We stayed at one of the hotels in Bukit Bintang

Believe it or not, we visited KLCC twice because Safiya and I love visiting the Dino-Trek as well as the Petrosains Gallery (more pics below)!

Two of my favourite dinosaurs; the T-Rex (tyrannosaurus) and the Spinosaurus Egypticus. Seriously, I memorise these names very well... :D

A close-up version during the ball-shooting... I was in charge of aiming at the dinosaur's mouth while Safiya shoots (more like "tried to"). Look at Safiya's facial expression! Hehehe...

On Thursday, daddy brought us on an adventure.. boarding a bus from KL to Seremban to visit our great grandmother and other family members. They were surprised to see us but were definitely happy. Our last visit was in 2004 when I was only a few months old. Now you know that we actually have Chinese descent!

Myself with "Kao Kong" (my grandma's brother)

A precious family picture

Hehehe... receiving 'ang pow' from Ah Tai

Playing with a baby cousin

Apart from KLCC and Seremban, we also visited some other interesting places...

The extraordinarily large Pavilion shopping mall

Masjid India

Berjaya Times Square.. with the indoor roller coaster ride behind me

And of course, what is KL without its delicious (and mostly spicy) cuisine!

Our visit to KL will not be enough without a meal at daddy's favourite Chicken Rice shop in Bukit Bintang. The price has gone up a bit but it was satisfying, just as how daddy remembers it.

Fried Kuey Teow (flat noodles) with clams

Kuey Teow Ladna.. Similar to Chinese style wet noodles

Ohhh... this one is a must-try! 'Daging Bakar & Air Asam'... or grilled tenderloins with spicy tamarind sauce

And my favourite memory of all... New additions to my transformer robots collection! Thank you daddy!
