12th January 2010
As the new year begins, mummy and daddy have been in a dilemma of whether or not Safiya should start schooling in January. The choice was whether Safiya begins Nursery this month or wait until the new JIS school term in September for Kindergarten. However, apparently Safiya is really excited with the idea and is not willing to wait until September. As such, yesterday began Safiya's days as a student.

On her first day, Safiya was energetic as she woke up early in the morning (school starts at 7.30) and put on her new school uniform. She even requested that mummy prepare a chicken burger for her snack at school! Hehehe...
Thankfully, all went well and no tears were shed. Although Safiya was a bit hesitant to let mummy and daddy leave, but all the fun things to do at school definitely looks so exciting for her that she bravely opted to be left behind. When mummy came to pick Safiya up at 11.30, she was readily waiting with her big smile and her teacher assured mummy that Safiya had a fun first day and was happily singing along during the music sessions.

Warming up... just before mummy said good-bye
This morning was better, since Safiya happily waved goodbye to daddy, mummy and myself. Hehehe... our parents must be really thankful that both of us didn't make our first days of school difficult for them and the teachers too!
Teacher's note from yesterday. As you may notice, daddy and mummy decided that Safiya be called as Iman at school, the name she has been familiar with at home
