A fun day at the park today

15th March 2008

This morning, the whole family went for a walk to the nearby Guyatt Park. Usually, nini laki alone will take us there. We do not want to disturb mummy with her studies, and nini bini can seldom join us because of her prolonged knee joint pain. However, she was courageous today and decided to take the walk (about 15 minutes). We had a blast playing and meeting new friends. We also met a number of Bruneians along the way and had a chat with them. Afterwards, nini bini kindly gave us some lollies...

I had something special for lunch

13th March 2008

Mummy made me a surprise today for lunch. I had delicious chicken mayo sandwich which is yummy as usual when she makes them, but the bonus was how mummy presented them. Take a look at this picture... Even my friends are impressed, I clearly remember one of them saying: "Wow! Cool!"
I really appreciate the 'dinosaurs' mummy, thank you. I love my mummy!

Today is full of activities

12th March 2008

Today, mummy and nini laki brought us to the local business area to pay the house rent. Afterwards, we did some grocery shopping at the local supermarket.

When we arrived home, I helped mummy bake some Apple and Spice Muffins for my tea-time tomorrow at school. The muffins are so yummy! Once my sister emerged (earlier nini laki brought her upstairs so that mummy is not distracted), she quickly got up to the table and helped herself with the warm muffins. Mmmm, delicious!

A closer look at mummy's university

11th March 2008

Background: The building where mummy attends her lecture.

Mummy had to attend class today at 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. (Brisbane time). Nini laki decided to take my sister and I for a stroll and walked with mummy to the university. Mummy managed to take our picture in front of mummy's lecture building at the University of Queensland. I am proud of my mummy for being able to further her studies and take care of us at the same time.

Helping mummy out with the house chores

10th March 2008

We stayed at home today. Mummy needs to do some reading for her class tomorrow, but at the same time she also had to do some of the house chores. Understanding her burden, in the afternoon I helped her out with the laundry.

While we were at the balcony, my 1 year old sister suddenly became creative and made funny faces at the glass door. She was funny and hilarious! Just look at this picture!

Afterwards, my sister and I sat on the chair and enjoyed the cool breeze.

First time shopping without daddy

8th March 2008

We usually went shopping at the nearby stores or the city with daddy, but sadly daddy left for Brunei on 2nd March 2008. Today, mummy brought my sister and I, together with nini laki and nini bini, shopping at Toowong Village (located in the Toowong suburb, next to St. Lucia where we are staying). We spent about two hours there, and went back home in a taxi. Daddy was not around, but we managed to enjoy our journey.

Our encounter with a baby turkey

7th March 2008

On our way to school today (thanks mummy & nini laki for sending me), we encountered a turkey wandering about in the bushes. My teachers said that it is normal to see these lovely birds around in this part of Australia. Talk about nature!

Once I arrive at school, I played with my beautiful friend Claudia...

My mummy and nini laki then left me and went home. Mummy told me that my baby sister Safiya dozed off as soon as they get home... I guess she was still sleepy but got up early anyway so that she doesn't miss out on sending me to school.

I AM THE SOUS CHEF

5th March 2008

Today, I helped mummy bake some chocolate chip cookies. They are not merely a pretty sight, believe me, they taste marvelous too! Thanks mummy!

It's time for nini laki & nini bini to view Brisbane city

01st March 2008
Today, the whole family went to the city. We did some shopping and sight-seeing. After lunch (by the way, the menu was Indian cuisine and Nando's roast chicken), we went to Valley / 'China town' to top up our supplies of halal meat i.e. beef and chicken and fresh seafood. At the Chinese grocery shop, we also find lots of Asian ingredients for our cooking.
